Any language teaching and learning process should include etiquette. The of foreign languages during any stage is characterised by the interaction many factors such as mother tongue, culture, educational background, psychological characteristics, among others. development socio-cultural competency in a challenging undertaking for teachers. Foreign students from Sudan, Egypt, Indonesia, Philippines, other countries can learn Malay one semester at Multimedia University, Malaysia. This study aims to discuss importance international etiquette, explore components etiquette that acquired. used field research method, i.e. method its context, data analysis. Observations class conversations Google Meet chat box were collect this study. It was discovered through analysis instructors be aware appreciate students' native culture well their cultural differences classroom. helps all participants/students pick up well. In terms aspects, if learner's competence defined built process, he or she almost on par with speakers. However, it noted that, while fixed part norms are constantly evolving. focuses classes. future could focus courses everyday lives. primary goal able speak comprehend language. education linguistic critical achieving these goals.
